What is Chai Latte Powder?
To understand what a Chai Latte Powder is we need to get a little understanding as to the roots of what chai is, how it is made and where it comes from.
'Chai' – Simply means tea, and a 'chai latte' means 'milk tea'.
'masala chai' means 'spicy tea' and it is 'masala chai' that most people are referring to when they order a 'Chai Latte'.
In Australia a Chai Latte is made one of three ways, by steeping a blend of spices and tea with milk and honey sometimes called a Sticky Chai Latte, a Chai Syrup which is a pre-infused extraction of tea and spices into a liquid or a Chai Latte Powder, which is an instant style of Chai latte usually made with a blend of ground spices, tea and sugar.
Many manufacturers use tea and spice flavours to create their Chai Latte powder products. All of our blends are made with freshly ground spices such as cinnamon, cardamon, star anise, ginger and cloves. All of our products ( except Fresh and Sticky Chai ) are 100% Vegan, natural, dairy free and gluten free. We also use evaporated cane sugar, organic sugar and honey as sweeteners in many of our products.
